One of my favorite Lego themes is the Creator line. Its colorful, simple yet playfully detailed and usually even comes with official alternate builds.
A particular strong subset are the Creator houses. While I’m still undecided about the Creator Modular line introduced in 2017, I have collected most of the Creator houses since 2014.
31035 Beach Hut is a perfect example for such a great Creator house.
In 2015 Lego introduced the Deep Sea Explorers theme to the City lineup. 60090 Deep Sea Scuba Scooter is the smallest set of the theme and came with a scuba scooter, diver and octopus for just €5.99.
Initially I bought this set as a giveaway, but I figured that the octopus would make for a great addition to my daughters Lego animal selection. So when my daughter visited her grandparents I packed the little set into her suitcase.
In 2013 Lego introduced a series of small Lego Technic vehicles build around a pullback motor. Since then Lego released two such sets every year and I think most of them are brilliant.
42033 Record Breaker started off as a little present from my wife in December of 2015. Little did she know that this would bring me out of my dark ages and get me hooked on bricks.
