As I described in my Legoland Pirate Island post, I believe that Legoland Germany is well worth a visit.
Apart from the park itself, one of the reasons to go there is the chance to buy some exclusive LEGOLAND sets.
The most recent of those is 40306 LEGOLAND Castle bringing a bit of classic castle theme back to live.
The build is simple, but considering all the small parts it does take a little bit longer than expected for the size of the finished result. However its fun to see the castle coming together and explore all the great little details.
I think the final result looks great and the addition of a minifigure has increased the sets play-value. No wonder my little one instantly took the set with her to feed the dragon …
Many Lego sets are designed to look good from a specific angle. While the front is certainly more detailed than the back, the designer did a good job in adding enough details to make all angles interesting.
